TTv proudly announces that it is providing media coverage for the fantastic M83 concert taking place on June 5, 2012, at the Zagreb Culture Factory!

The currently most prominent name in the indie electro scene, M83, is a fantastic musical project by Spanish-French musician Anthony Gonzalez. On their tour, in the form of a full-fledged live band, they are promoting their fantastic latest album ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming,’ released last year. In a time when the format of albums is losing ground to EPs and singles, Gonzalez dared to release a double album that easily claimed top positions on the best albums of 2011 on all relevant lists. Perhaps the most significant among them is the list of the best albums by the web portal Pitchfork, which placed it at the third spot. The same magazine declared ‘Midnight City,’ the album’s first single, as the best song released in 2011.

The confirmed date of the concert in Zagreb is one of the first stops on their European tour, where they will be performing at the Culture Factory just a few days after their performance at the Primavera festival in Barcelona. It is evident from all of this that the band is not coming to Zagreb while rising or declining, but at the exact moment when they are at the peak of their power, with a fantastic current album and high positions at the biggest global festivals. To make things even better, Zagreb will be one of the few cities to enjoy the band’s full club performance on Tuesday, June 5th.

Named after the spiral galaxy Messier 83, M83 was formed in France in 2001. They gained greater public and media interest with their second album, ‘Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts’, followed by an extensive world tour. To this day, the group has released six studio albums, remixed songs for artists such as Placebo, Goldfrapp, Bloc Party, and many others, and has toured with Kings Of Leon, The Killers, and Depeche Mode.

Tickets can be purchased at all Eventim sales points (as well as at www.eventim.hr). Price: 140 HRK in advance, and on the day of the concert (if available) they will cost 160 HRK.
