In the new episode of Nominis podcast which we are producing in partnership with the Association of eCommerce Croatia, we spoke to Tin Đudajek, co-founder of Canonical SEO Agency and the Zagreb SEO Summit. Rather than focusing solely on SEO, host Marcel Majsan and guest dove deep into how Tin built the largest SEO community in the region, starting from a simple Facebook group aimed at fostering open discussions and genuine relationships among SEO enthusiasts.

Tin shares humorous anecdotes from their first meetup, recalling an outdoor event on a chilly evening that drew just five attendees. Despite humble beginnings, these initial gatherings laid the foundation for strong offline connections that became central to their community-building strategy.

He emphasizes that genuine, face-to-face interactions at meetups form the backbone of successful communities. Recognizing limitations in social media outreach due to changing algorithms, Tin has strategically shifted towards newsletters, leveraging platforms like MailerLite to maintain engagement with their audience.

The conversation also touches upon broader SEO industry trends, highlighting Google’s declining market dominance, which, according to Tin, opens opportunities for specialists to diversify their expertise across multiple search platforms, thus benefiting users and industry professionals alike.

Concluding with an invitation, Tin encourages listeners to join the Zagreb SEO Summit from June 4-6, 2025, promising insightful global perspectives, hands-on workshops, and unparalleled networking opportunities in the SEO field.

Zagreb SEO Summit was created because we realized that Eastern Europe lacked this kind of specialized conference. While there are many digital marketing conferences, there simply weren’t any events focused exclusively on SEO.
