The 2017 autumn edition of Netokracija’s Ladies of new business is dedicated to the gaming industry. It has long evolved from kids Atari and Commodore 64 past time and it slowly but surely entered the mainstream markets. Today, there are more than 2 billion players worldwide and the industry’s global revenue is worth over 100 billion dollars. That’s a billion with a B.
Are you aware that 52% of active gamers are women? They are undoubtedly active in every aspect of the industry – design, development, content, streaming, casting… But even though they are statistically in the majority, women are marginalized on every level and mostly hypersexualized game roles are intended for them. This event will gather all major gaming ladies from the region who will share their experiences.
Neuralab is proud that one of the panelists will be our very own interactive designer Ana Filip. She’s been into gaming since the early days and knows all the nooks & crannies of the industry. Her gaming experiences will resonate for sure throughout the event. Currently, she’s mostly playing Overwatch and Counter Strike Global Offensive. Her all-time favorite video game is Counter Strike 1.6
