Sport Vision’s Alan Babin, the leader of the eCommerce department for Croatia, shared his business insights with Nominis. As a matter of fact, his new title is Head of eCommerce digital business development. Alan Babin has also now achieved the status of a proud leader of Buzz and Sneakers.hr. And tells all about it in ep.11!
From the moment Sport Vision was founded in 1996, the company aimed to expand its business, mainly to the CEE. It represents over 40 of the most renowned sports brands, employs over 4,000 people, and that number is growing every day! Alan told Nominis hosts what it really means to have an omnichannel, especially one of high quality like his. In addition, Alan discussed how to become the number one in the region and what the state of eCommerce is in Croatia.
Due to its size and strength, Romania is the largest market for this leading sport eCommerce platform in the region. Nevertheless, the headquarters are located in Belgrade, and traffic in Serbia is also growing. If you were wondering – depending on the country, there are various eCommerce managers managing different regions. Then another set of questions arises like how to manage employees efficiently and how to provide excellent customer service.
We learned two secrets from Alan: Trust is (obviously) the basis of the customers-brand relationship, and simplicity is a must. Customer service is very attentive and they listen carefully to what the customer has to say. That gets you to the top!
As Alan touches on in the podcast, the sports industry is characterized by its season-based operation, but that’s not the only thing. Find out more about sport eCommerce and how to lead the No.1 webshop in the Balkans – Alan Babin and the Nominis episode awaits!
