The sun has finally defeated the clouds on the mainland! Thoughts immediately wander to summer, beaches, and the sea…. As I am quite vain about my old physique, I immediately grabbed onto my “love handles” that are growing mercilessly and started blaming myself for not being active enough. It’s true, I started a managerial (LOL) morning run, but what good does it do when I indulge in sweets, soda, and coffee all day long afterwards? The app I installed tells me that I burn around 300 calories after a workout (LOL). “Well, not bad!” someone from the back row chimes in. True, but here’s the thing – a can of cola has 140 calories. Two cans and there you go! It’s like I never ran. A can of Coca-Cola is perhaps the most seemingly American product in existence. And yet, it’s not at all! The number of individuals who know how to make a can of Coke is zero. The number of individual nations that could produce a can of Coke is zero. Read on… It will all become clear.

I drink Anglo-Saxon style, so it’s only fair that I indulge in sweets Anglo-Saxon style. I love eating Oreo cookies. And no, I’m not one of those who separate them and either lick the cream or just nibble on the cookie. I love them whole. I love lots of them whole! For all other individuals, there’s an obscure guy from Portland who has put together a machine for separating Oreo cookies. I’m not sure how practical it is, but it proves that some people truly have a lot of free time.

For all the others who spend around ten hours a day in front of a monitor, there’s a new trend – work and walk! It certainly does wonders for your metabolism, but I’m not quite sure how it affects productivity at work. I don’t see myself tweaking keyframes in After Effects while sweating through a power walk. However, it could work for some lighter web surfing.

And it’s good as long as you can surf! I’ve become so addicted to the web that I’m leaning more towards Rugnetti’s opinion that the term “offline” no longer exists. -OffTopic- If you haven’t already, subscribe to the “IDEA channel”. It’s fun! 😉 -OnTopic- as soon as my wife accidentally yanks out the LAN cable with a vacuum cleaner, I become a modern version of Jack Torrance.

And again, I come back to the beginning and the sun. Go outside! Don’t sit in front of the computer all day. (Oops, that rhymed!) There are plenty of unforgettable TED quotes on the web. This one is fresh and very interesting: “Sitting has become the smoking of our generation.” True dat…
